  • Scholarships for Language Study and Study Abroad

    Are you interested in studying abroad or adding to or improving on the languages you know? If so, please consider the awards listed below offered through the Boren Awards. These special opportunities include a total of 4 special initiatives with the addition of the South Asian Flagship Languages Initiative (SAFLI). Students interested in applying should review the application and reach out to ssp@uic.edu if they would like help with the application.

     · The African Flagship Languages Initiative (AFLI) offers Boren Scholarship and Boren Fellowship applicants the opportunity to study African languages and cultures by participating in domestic and overseas language programs in Akan/Twi, French, Portuguese, Swahili, Wolof, or Zulu.     · The Summer STEM Initiative provides funding for summer study abroad to undergraduate students in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math fields (STEM).

    · The Boren-ROTC Initiative offer a special initiative for undergraduate ROTC cadets and midshipmen. ROTC participants are strong candidates for the Boren Scholarship, due to their commitment to national security and government service.

    · The South Asian Flagship Languages Initiative (SAFLI) offers Boren Scholarship applicants the opportunity for intensive language study of Hindi and Urdu and cultural immersion by participating in domestic and overseas language programs.   • Opportunities at the Yiddish Book Center, Due Jan. 4

    The Yiddish Book Center in Amherst, Massachusetts, is now accepting applications for two education programs for college students and recent graduates: the 2016 Steiner Summer Yiddish Program and the 2016-17 Yiddish Book Center Fellowship Program. 

    The Steiner Summer Yiddish Program is an intensive seven-week course in Yiddish language and culture for college students. The program offers a beginner track for students with no previous Yiddish experience and an intermediate track for those who have completed one year of Yiddish. In addition to their classes, students take part in cultural and social activities, including film screenings, concerts, workshops, and a trip to New York City. Beginner students take a course in Central and Eastern European Yiddish history, literature, and culture, while intermediate students work as interns on the Center’s major projects, including translation and oral history.

    All Steiner students receive full-tuition scholarships. Intermediate students also receive free housing and a $1,000 internship stipend. All participants are eligible to receive college credits through the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

    The 2016 Steiner Summer Yiddish Program will run from June 5 to July 22. Applications are due by February 8, 2016. For more information, visit yiddishbookcenter.org/steiner-summer-yiddish-program.

    The Yiddish Book Center Fellowship Program offers recent college graduates with intermediate or advanced Yiddish skills an opportunity to develop professional experience while working as full-time members of the Center's staff. 

    Fellows serve as teaching assistants for college-level Yiddish classes, conduct interviews for the Center’s Wexler Oral History Project, develop educational and exhibit materials, assist with translation or online accessibility initiatives, and do bibliographic work with the Center’s collection of books. With the support of mentors, Fellows also apply their ingenuity and personal expertise to the creation of new projects.

    Fellows receive a $30,000 stipend and health insurance. The next Fellowship Program runs from September 2016 to August 2017. Applications are due by January 4. For more information, visit yiddishbookcenter.org/fellowship-program.

  • Rangel International Affairs Graduate Fellowship Is Now Accepting Applications

    The Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Program is now accepting applications for the 2016 Rangel International Affairs Graduate Fellowship at www.rangelprogram.org

    The Rangel Program is pleased to announce the opening of the application period for its 2016 graduate fellowship.   The Fellowship welcomes applications from individuals who want to make a difference in the world through careers as Foreign Service Officers in the U.S. Department of State.  The Rangel Graduate Fellowship Program provides benefits of up to $95,000 over two years toward a two-year master's degree, arranges internships on Capitol Hill and at U.S. embassies, and provides mentorship and professional development support. Fellows can use the fellowship to attend two-year master's programs in U.S. institutions to study an area of relevance to the Foreign Service, including international relations, public policy, public administration, economics, or business administration. Upon successful completion of the two-year fellowship and Foreign Service entry requirements, Fellows join the Foreign Service of the U.S. Department of State, embarking on a uniquely rewarding career of international service.

    Applicants must be college seniors or graduates planning to start two-year graduate programs in fall 2016, must have GPAs of at least 3.2, and must be U.S. citizens. The program welcomes any undergraduate major and encourages applications from members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service and those with financial need.

  • Shout out for the Humanities ($5,000 in cash prizes)

    Why do you love the humanities?  Let us know by entering the Shout Out for the Humanities contests!

    Who: Current UIC undergraduate and graduate students are invited to participate as individuals or teams.

    What: Design an original project that answers such questions as: Why is studying the humanities (literature, foreign languages and cultures, history, philosophy, art history) important to you? To society? How would you convince your parents, an employer, a politician, or others that there is value in learning the humanities?

    How: Express why you consider the humanities to be valuable using any medium.  Make a video, website, or other digital project; make a photo collage, comic strip, cartoon, infographic, or other visual art project; conduct an interview; write a song, short story, or essay.  All submissions must be made online and in an electronic format.

    Why: Because we need your help advocating for the humanities in higher education! And because there will be cash prizes for first, second, and third place winners.  A panel of distinguished UIC faculty members will judge your submission based on the clarity, quality, and impact of your message.

  • Fulbright UK Summer Institute Programmes, Deadline 2/23

    The US-UK Fulbright Commission has opened applications for the UK Summer Institute Award Programmes for US Undergraduates.  

    The Fulbright UK Summer Institute Programmes offer students a fantastic opportunity to be immersed in the study of British academics and culture. Students will take part in research, collaboration, presentation, and cultural events at an esteemed British university. They will enhance their leadership skills, develop knowledge and understanding of new subjects, and become ambassadors for the United Kingdom and the United States.   Students from all areas of study are encouraged to apply. Each Summer Institute will cover a different theme such as acting at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, the history of the slave trade in England, or the political, social and economic relationships of Northern Ireland. These institutes include:

    be a US citizen and possess a US passport; be at least 18 years old; have a high level of academic achievement with a minimum GPA of 3.7 (confirmed by academic marks, awards and references); have at least two years of university study upon their return ( i.e. applicants should currently be a Freshman or Sophomore in college/university) be mature, responsible, independent, and open-minded

    The Awards will cover the majority of all costs incurred, including flights to and from the UK, university fees, and room and board at the host UK University. Please Note: There have been two changes made to this year’s application process.

    Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.7 All references must be submitted online (applicants should direct their references to the webpage of their selected institute where they can the online reference letter form)

    Deadlines for 2016 are:  23 February or 26 February, 2016 – depending on the Institute. Each Programme also varies in duration, from three to six weeks.  Please make sure to check the specific Institute page for the particular deadline.    

    The US-UK Fulbright Commission would greatly appreciate your efforts in circulating information about these programmes amongst your eligible students.   

    Application instructions have also been placed on the UK Summer Institute webpage for student reference. We recommend they read all the information on the website before beginning an application as it may answer many initial questions.

  • Study human rights, science or public service abroad

    Are you interested in going abroad to study public health, human rights, or to conduct research?  Then the Rotary, Humanity in Action, and/or DAAD-Rise programs may be for you!

    Humanity in Action:

    The Humanity in Action Fellowship brings together international groups of Fellows to study minority rights and produce original research exploring how and why individuals and societies, past and present, have resisted intolerance and protected democratic values. Separate programs take place for five weeks every summer in Amsterdam, Atlanta, Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris, and Warsaw.  Fellows only pay the cost of airfare to their host country; students can apply while in college or soon afterwards.

    DAAD-Rise Summer Internship Program:

    RISE Germany offers undergraduate students from North American and British universities the opportunity to complete a summer research internship at top German universities and research institutions.

    Students are matched with a host university or institute according to their area of interest (biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences, engineering, or a closely related field)DAAD provides students a monthly stipend for three months to help cover living expensesHost universities and institutes provide housing assistance and match students with Ph.D. student mentorsGerman language is not required and the working language will be in English

  • Payne International Development Graduate Fellowship

    For students considering aid work, the Foreign Service or other work abroad, The Payne Fellowship provides an amazing pathway to work in the USAID Foreign Service. Students interested in applying should contact OSSP at ssp@uic.edu for assistance applying.

    The Donald M. Payne International Development Fellowship Program is now accepting applications for the 2016 Payne International Development Graduate Fellowship at paynefellows.org. 

    About the Payne Fellowship Program:

    The USAID Donald M. Payne International Development Graduate Fellowship Program seeks to attract outstanding young people who are interested in pursuing careers in the Foreign Service of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). If you want to work on the front lines of some of the most pressing global challenges of our times — poverty, hunger, injustice, disease, environmental degradation, climate change, conflict and violent extremism – the Foreign Service of the U.S. Agency for International Development provides an opportunity to advance U.S. foreign policy interests and reflect the American people's compassion and support of human dignity. The Payne Fellowship, which provides up to $90,000 in benefits over two years for graduate school, internships, and professional development activities, provides a unique pathway to the USAID Foreign Service. The Payne Fellowship encourages the application of members of minority groups who have historically been underrepresented in international development careers and those with financial need. The fellowship is named in honor of longtime development champion, the late Congressman Donald Payne. The initiative is funded by USAID and administered by Howard University. Fellowship recipients can use the award to attend U.S. graduate programs throughout the country; they will join the USAID Foreign Service upon completion of the program, as long as they successfully complete the Payne Program and USAID entry requirements.

  • PanHellenic Scholarship Application, due 02/01/2016

    The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation is currently accepting applications from eligible undergraduate students of Hellenic descent for its awards.

    The Foundation will offer $250,000 in scholarships to support the educational pursuits of exceptional young people. The application deadline is February 1, 2016. Scholarship awards are offered at two levels:

    Twenty (20) Awards of $10,000 each based on academic achievement and financial need. Two out of the twenty $10,000 awards will be offered exclusively to music and arts majors. Twenty (20) Awards of $2,500 each based solely on academic achievement.

  • APIASF Scholarship for Asian and/or Pacific Islander students, Apply by 1/8/16

    APIASF Scholarship Program

    For Asian and/or Pacific Islander students. Must be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States to apply and be enrolling as an undergraduate student in a U.S. accredited college or university in the Fall of 2016. Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted) or have earned a GED, and must apply for federal financial aid using the FAFSA. One letter of recommendation is required.  The award amounts range from $2,500 - $15,000.     Educators for Fair Consideration (E4FC) is an organization that assists undocumented students in finding support to attend college and navigate the needs of everyday life, through their online resources.   • Hispanic Scholarship Fund – General College Scholarships, Applications Due Wed. 3/30

    HSF/ General College Scholarships are designed to assist students of Hispanic heritage obtain a college degree.

    Scholarships are available on a competitive basis to: Graduating High School Seniors, Community College,  Transfer Students, Undergraduate Students, Graduate Students

    Award amounts generally range from $500 to $5,000.

  • Border-Crossing Scholarship Nomination Deadline 2/15

    Border-Crossing Scholarship 

    The Social Justice Initiative at the University of Illinois at Chicago is accepting nominations/applications for our “border-crossing” scholarship. A $1,000 scholarship for the next two years will be awarded to a UIC undergraduate student working to transcend borders and diminish the boundaries of identity and geography. Inspired by three Chicago mentors for young activists, the Nesbitt, Carrasco, Unzueta scholarship is an effort to support youth engagement in international reform, international movement-building, and/or transnational solidarity efforts.

    The deadline for nominations is February 15, 2016. All UIC undergraduate students in good academic standing are eligible.

  • Udall Scholarship for Environmental Issues or Tribal Policy or Healthcare, Apply by 2/15/16

    Are you interested in the environment?  In Native American rights? Consider applying for the Udall Scholarship!!

    What is it:

    The Udall Foundation awards scholarships to college sophomores and juniors for leadership, public service, and commitment to issues related to American Indian nations or to the environment.  In 2016, the Udall Foundation will award 60 scholarships of up to $7,000 each, and anticipates that at least 20 scholarships will be awarded to American Indian or Alaska Native students in Tribal Public Policy and Native Health Care. Students must be enrolled for the 16-17 academic year.

    Who Should Apply:

    Are you working towards positive solutions to environmental challenges or to issues impacting Indian country?Have you demonstrated your commitment to one of these areas through public service?Do you inspire and motivate others to take action?Are you committed to making a difference through civility and consensus building?

  • Honors College Advisory Board Scholarship, Due Fri. 1/29

    The Honors College Advisory Board will award two $1,000 scholarships to current Honors College students. Eligible students must be in good standing with the college (3.4 GPA), enrolled full-time, and be significantly involved in Honors College activities and student organizations. This scholarship will be awarded during the Honors College Ball on March 5th; therefore, you must also be able to attend this event to be eligible to apply.   • College of Business Scholarships, Info Sessions 2/3 and 2/5, Deadline 2/19

    This year, the College of Business scholarship applications will be available on the UIC SnAP, the university’s centralized scholarship list and application system. UIC SnAP contains scholarships for continuing UIC students in all colleges and at all levels. Start by logging in with your netid in the upper right hand corner. Next, complete the General Application which will match you with scholarships for which you qualify and no further action is needed. You may also be recommended for scholarships that require additional essays or uploads. External scholarships are also listed in the system and directions to other websites may be provided.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    To apply, you must be a current undergraduate student in the UIC College of Business with a graduation date of Spring 2017 or later.Scholarship Funds are received in the Fall Semester 2016 and Spring 2017 semesters.Eligible students must have UIC GPA (Spring 2016 Transfer Students are not eligible to apply).Students must be in good academic standing, and registered as a full-time student during the entire 2016-2017 academic year.Incomplete or inaccurate information will result in a disqualified scholarship application.

    Applicants may receive scholarships more than once and are encouraged to apply again in subsequent semesters if they are eligible.

    Students are selected based on the criteria for the scholarship. Please make sure that you carefully read the application rules and information.*Note: Some CBA Scholarships are only for Accounting majors, so make sure you qualify.

  • Gilman Study Abroad Scholarship, Info Session Wed. 2/24, Deadline 3/1

    Are you thinking of studying abroad?  Looking for funding?  The Gilman International Scholarship Program provides awards of up to $5,000 (plus up to a $3,000 supplement for critical languages) for U.S. citizen undergraduate students to pursue summer, semester or year-long study abroad and internship opportunities in other countries. This is a need-based award, and to be eligible students must be currently receiving a Federal Pell Grant at the time of application. Applicants must be studying or interning abroad for a minimum of four weeks in one country on a credit-bearing program.

    The Office of Special Scholarship Programs is willing to assist in reviewing your scholarship application material - in fact, we welcome the opportunity to help make your application more competitive! As such, we are offering two sessions about the Gilman Scholarship.

    Learn about the Gilman scholarship, hear from staff from the Study Abroad Office, learn what it takes to apply and hear from past winners.

  • Honors College Research & Travel Grants (Deadline 2/26)

    A significant advantage of being in the Honors College is access to money to support your undergraduate research or other scholarly projects. Please see your faculty research advisor right away and start on your applications for several grants-in-aid, which are all due on-line Friday, February 26, 2016. All applications must be read by and supported by a letter from your research faculty advisor.

    (1) Research grants: All forms of scholarship are supported, including Capstone Projects. Maximum award is $1,000, for expenditures incurred since August 24, 2015 or anticipated for projects planned for current or planned research projects.     (2) Travel grants: Proposals will be considered for expenses associated with presentation of research at conferences (e.g., flight, hotel, poster preparation costs) up to $500. Please submit your application here: https://uic.academicworks.com/opportunities/1815

    Whether you are conducting scientific experiments, lab research, or surveys, whether you are analyzing data from field work such as participant observation or in-depth interviews, creating a set for a play, designing a building, or exploring historical archives, you may apply for funding to support your research, attend professional conferences, pay for your Research Forum poster, and so on.

  • Honors College Scholarships for Study Abroad, Due Fri. 3/18

    The Honors College offers two scholarships to support students studying abroad: Dean’s Scholarship for Study Abroad and Flaherty Scholarship. The scholarships are available in awards ranging from $500 to $2,500. To be eligible to apply for the scholarships, students must apply to a study abroad program endorsed by the UIC Campus and be a member of the Honors College. A cumulative UIC grade point average of 3.40 upon application for the scholarships is required. The deadline for programs taking place in Summer and Fall 2016 is Friday, March 18, 2016.     Are you interested in a career in government or public service?  Consider applying for the McKelvie Scholarship!

    What is it?

    The McKelvie Scholarship Committee invites applications for the annual McKelvie Scholarships for Government Service. Approximately twenty awards with stipends as high as $2000 will be awarded to both undergraduate and graduate students who will be full time students (twelve credit hours Fall and Spring) following receipt of the award and who are planning careers in government. The McKelvie mission is to promote and strengthen government service. This includes but is not confined to local, state, and federal government employment or careers.

    Criteria for Selection:

    Superior scholarship and academic standing   Evidence of commitment to a career in government. An illustration of past, current or future participation in government service and/or employment -- perhaps through an internship -- that is evidence of a commitment to a career in government.

    Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF): Application Deadline is March 30th

    In the 2015-2016 scholarship cycle, HSF selected more than 4,400 Scholars funded by many different companies and organizations.  The HSF application opens January 1st and allows students to apply for multiple scholarships with one application!  Awards range from $500-$5,000 and may be used for the institution and major of choice.  Create your MyHSF profile and get ready now, to apply for scholarships January 1st!

    The Donald and Leah Riddle Prize is awarded each year at Commencement to an outstanding graduating senior regardless of major field. Graduates from Summer 2015, Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 are eligible to apply. The award is based on academic excellence and leadership. The winner receives a bronze medallion and a $1,000 cash prize. The Riddle Prize is made each year in recognition of the former UIC Chancellor Donald Riddle and his wife Leah and honors the Riddles’ contribution to the campus.

    Latin American Recruitment and Educational Services (LARES) program is currently soliciting applications for the Fall 2016 LARES Tuition Award. The goal for this award is to assist LARES students in obtaining a baccalaureate degree. Candidates are considered based on merit and leadership. Recipients may receive full or partial tuition waivers, depending on funds available.

    Note: Award does not cover university fees or study abroad.

    *NEW*Award Spotlight: Netherlands ETA (10)  

     Well-qualified U.S. Bachelor’s and Master’s graduates from all fields of study are welcome to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with previous teaching experience and plans to pursue a career in education. Applicants should be enthusiastic, highly motivated and flexible in order to successfully work with a team of teachers in several different classroom settings. Candidates are encouraged to include a capstone project proposal in their applications.Grantees will be placed in one or two secondary schools and/or middle vocational training schools throughout the Netherlands in areas with low populations of native English speakers. ETAs will spend between 20 and 24 hours each week teaching. In addition, grantees are required to carry out a supplementary project over the course of their grant. This can be in the form of creating an extracurricular club (language, sport, or culture club) or research project related to education. These projects will be presented at an end-of-year conference and complied for future ETAs to use as a resource. 

    Dutch language proficiency is not required. Some study of Dutch prior to arrival is encouraged.

  • Summer 2017 Diversity Fellowship for 4-week study in London

    The Study Abroad Office is proud to announce this new fellowship offered through our academic consortium partner The Council for International Educational Exchange [CIEE] and the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Center for Minority Serving Institutions.

    The fellowship will cover 100 percent of program fees and travel costs to study abroad for 4 weeks in London during the summer of 2017.

    Application for upper-classmen: Each semester, Honors College students with a UIC GPA of at least 3.5 are eligible to compete for a limited number of tuition waivers offered by the Honors College.     Application for first-year students: For the first time the Honors College is proud to be able to offer a limited number of tuition waivers to incoming first year students.   • DAAD Information Session, Tues. 9/13

    For anyone interested in studying or conducting research in Germany, funding is available through DAAD, the German Exchange Service (https://www.daad.org/). UIC has an arrangement with DAAD, allowing our students to be evaluated by a campus committee, who provides an endorsement and ranking, which historically has secured funding for at least one UIC student. The campus deadline is October 19th for this opportunity.

    DAAD has dozens of different funding opportunities with various deadlines. Viable student applicants come from all disciplines, from Art History and Germanic Studies to Mechanical Engineering and Public Health. Marie Khan will be holding an information session on  Tuesday, September 13th in UH 650 at noon. Refreshments will be provided.

    At this workshop, Marie Khan will go over the following three particular options DAAD funds, and the award process:

    The application for the Rangel Graduate Fellowship application deadline is quickly approaching! The 2017 Rangel Fellowship application closes Monday, September 19th at 11:59PM EST.

     

    About the Fellowship

    The Rangel Graduate Fellowship Program provides benefits of up to $95,000 over two years toward a two-year master's degree, arranges internships on Capitol Hill and at U.S. embassies, and provides mentorship and professional development support. Fellows can use the fellowship to attend two-year master's programs in U.S. institutions to study an area of relevance to the Foreign Service, including international relations, public policy, public administration, economics, or business administration. Upon successful completion of the two-year fellowship and Foreign Service entry requirements, Fellows join the Foreign Service of the U.S. Department of State, embarking on a uniquely rewarding career of international service. Applicants must be college seniors or graduates planning to start two-year graduate programs in fall 2017 must have GPAs of at least 3.2, and must be U.S. citizens. The program welcomes any undergraduate major and encourages applications from members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service and those with financial need.     Chicago Consular Corps (CCC) Scholarship

    UIC students are invited to apply for the CCC Scholarship for the academic year 2016-2017. Fifteen successful applicants will each receive $1,000.00. Thirteen scholarships are available to UIC international degree seeking students. Two scholarships are available to full time, degree seeking American students. Eligible are UIC undergraduates and graduate students from all fields. Eligibility for the scholarship is limited to students who have a minimum cumulative UIC GPA of 3.5/4.0

    What is the Goldwater Scholarship?

    The Goldwater is a $7500 award for sophomores and juniors committed to earning PhDs or MD/PhDs in math, science or engineering. Students apply as undergraduates and the money must be used toward the following year(s)of undergraduate study. 

    What makes a good Goldwater Scholar?

    -very strong grades (3.8 or higher)

    -research experience

    -a commitment to a career in research

    What is the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program?

    The NSFGRFP is a 3 year graduate fellowship that offers partial tuition support and a $30,000 stipend to students pursuing research-based graduate degrees in math, science, engineering and most of the social sciences. Applied fields such as medicine, law, pharmacy, clinical psychology are not eligible. National NSFGRFP deadlines range between October 24 and November 3, depending on field of study.

  • Ethics Essay Competition / Scholarship Opportunity, Due Mon. 10/3

    Four awards of up to $3000 are available to students with a demonstrated interest in questions of value and meaning in contemporary life. To qualify, students must be full-time with a 3.0 GPA in any UIC undergraduate college. The application will consist of a letter of recommendation from a current UIC faculty member; a transcript; and an essay that demonstrates an ability to think carefully and write clearly about perennial questions.   • Lincoln Academy Student Laureate Award for an Outstanding Senior

    UIC nominates one outstanding senior each year for the Lincoln Academy Student Laureate award. One student will be selected and honored in Springfield on Saturday, November 12. According to Academy materials, "In the spirit of Lincoln, Student Laureates are honored for their leadership and service in the pursuit of the betterment of humanity and for overall excellence in curricular and extracurricular activities."

    The application deadline is Monday, October 10, 2016.

    Candidates must meet the following criteria:

    -Graduating in December 2016 or May of 2017

    -You must submit AT LEAST ONE AND UP TO EIGHT REFERENCES. You will submit their names and email addresses in the online application.  

    -You may nominate yourself or a faculty or staff member may nominate you. In both cases you must fill in the online application.

     

    Strong candidates tend to possess the following criteria:

    -Involved in curricular and extra-curricular activities

    -Have a record of leadership

    -Made a contribution to UIC as an undergraduate

    -Strong academic record (no minimum GPA)

    The Lincoln Academy Student Laureate receives the following:

    * The Lincoln Academy Student Laureate Medallion

    * A certificate of achievement, and

    * The Abraham Lincoln Civic Engagement Award in the amount of $1,000s

    The APIASF Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) Scholarship Program is a collaboration with AANAPISIs and the communities they serve to provide scholarships, expand institutional capacity and mobilize local resources to help foster economic development.

    The APIASF AANAPISI Scholarship is available annually to students attending APIASF AANAPISI partner campuses listed below. The APIASF AANAPISI Scholarship Program is supported by The Coca-Cola Foundation, Educational Testing Service, General Mills Foundation, Hilton Worldwide, Honda, USA Funds, Walmart Foundation, and Wells Fargo.The APIASF AANAPISI Scholarship online application opens on September 1, 2016 and closes on October 31, 2016 at 11:59 PM EST. Scholarship awards range from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $5,000 awards. APIASF provides scholarships to underserved AAPI students with a special focus on those who:

    Live at or below the poverty level, or are otherwise of low socioeconomic status;
