Program Highlights:
CS 111: It’s a no-experience-required introductory programming 3 credit Tuition-Free course that will:
· start teaching you how to code!
· allow you to program simple computer games, data visualizations, and images.
· give you a skillset that will unlock a tech-based way to solve problems
Dates: UIC Summer II Session, June 10 - August 2, 2024
· Course Details: CS 111 Hybrid taught by Prof. Reckinger during UIC Summer Session 2)
· Days: (Monday/Wednesday/(only Fridays are on-line)
· Time: 9am-12pm
· Start date is June 10th- August 2nd
· Summer holidays are (off June 19th and the week of July 4th will be fully online)
· Includes Zybook and software needed for the course
· Department approval is needed to register – send is your UIN

Additional Information:
Break Through Tech Chicago will pay for:
· Only Tuition for CRN 23291 and CRN 23292 (CS 111 taught by Prof. Reckinger during UIC Summer Session 2)
· Only Course materials Zybook and software needed for the course
Break Through Tech Chicago cannot pay for:
· Tuition / books for any other UIC courses
· Additional fees assessed by the university
· Campus Care or other health service fees / requirements. Visit campus care for more information about requirements and opt out options.
· Transportation and meals
· Any previous financial balance on a student’s account
For any additional fees – you may want to consider applying for the Last Mile Education Fund scholarship grant for students who are interested in tech and need financial assistance. You can add BTTC as a reference if you decide to apply for this educational fund.
