On Februray 10, UHP held the Annual Fall-Spring Cultural Workshop "What's your WHY? A LIVE Case Study in the Treatment of Opioid Addiction" featuring Ms. Jamelia Hand, MHS, CADC, CODP from Vantage Clinical Consulting, LLC and her guest "Dell".
Ms. Hand interviewed Dell about her experience in opioid use disorders treatment, working with treatment professionals, and how she utlized lessons learned to sustain her recovery. Students had this great opportunity to reconnect to their mission, vision and purpose as a future healthcare pressionals and discuss treatment topics related to client/patient experience and best practices. In the end, they left with an enhanced knowledge on Opioid Use Disorders and Opioid Treatment from a patient perspective that they can continue to build upon in their professional development.
