Job Description
HSHS St. John's Summer Internship is now open to all nursing students who have completed their first round of clinicals.
- This is a temporary, full time, 4-week position, May 22-June 17.
- You will spend 2 weeks in a non-specialty area and 2 weeks in a specialty area of your choice.

Provides practical work experience for clinical students in an environment that emphasizes patient-centered care. Provides a mechanism for exposing clinical interns to innovative/emerging concepts in healthcare practice. Provides mentoring opportunities for staff to facilitate development of teaching and preceptor skills and provides a challenging/stimulating work environment for staff.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience
1-2 years of healthcare experience is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30-days of employment.
Must be actively working toward certification/licensure in field of practice.
