Position Summary
The Center for Reproductive Health (CRH) Coordinator is responsible for providing oversight of the Complex Family Planning (CFP) program. Manages the education, resources, and care navigation to facilitate informed decision-making and timely access to quality reproductive health and psychosocial care to UI Health patients. The CRH Coordinator provides care coordination throughout the continuum to address barriers to care and improve timeliness and quality of services, by coordinating complex processes, developing client case management, and working closely with clinic leadership on process and quality improvement initiatives. The CRH Coordinator functions as an interdisciplinary team member who collaborates with internal and external partners to facilitate program development, operations, and evaluation to meet the department and organizational goals.
Program Development

- Formulate objectives, goals, and strategies for the Complex Family Planning program. • Develop, implement, and execute quality activities and initiatives for the Complex Family Planning program.
- Develop actionable tactical plans to meet program growth and objectives.
- Identify measurable outcomes for best practices.
- Leads partnership throughout the organization and externally to ensure continued growth and innovation in complex family planning.
- Prepares and delivers reports to leadership outlining progress towards meeting volume, financial, quality, safety, and patient experience.
Clinical research coordination
- Monitors overall program quality and progress and formal report submission.
- Collects and performs statistical analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of program data.
- Coordinates the development of consenting, recruitment, and enrollment efforts related to complex family planning.
- Utilize clinical expertise to partner with the clinical team as resource for complex family planning clients.
- Provides comprehensive navigation services to patients being served by the UI Health CRH, acting as a consistent point of contact, care coordinator, educator, and advocate throughout the care continuum. Including but not limited to:
- Engages and obtain information from client to develop an appropriate educational plan
- Coordinates accurate intake details for hospital-based abortion care.
- Coordinates In-office moderate sedation procedure • Coordinate and educate on contraceptive devices and reproductive health medication.
- Pre and post procedure counseling, instruction, and follow-up to include but limited to medical abortion, miscarriage, molar pregnancy and pregnancy of unknown location.
- Appointment coordination including but not limited to imaging, consultations, and surgical clearances.
Development of educational resources and initiatives.
- Coordinate Internal and external resources to mitigate barriers to care, linking with relevant community resources; internal ancillary, rehabilitative, support, and complementary services; and research protocols.
- Oversees adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulatory agency standards and mandates.
- Supports patients and providers by following up on referrals, treatment authorizations, peer-to-peer reviews, and facilitating communication among various specialties.
- Ensure providers’ orders are validated for execution by the healthcare team, with precise documentation in the EHR
- Other duties as assigned.
Professional/Leadership
- Advocates for patients, families, and their significant others, the community, and the nursing profession
Minimum Qualifications
- BSN graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
- Current AHA ACLS/CPR and other required unit-specific certifications

- Experience in Community Health Nursing and/or Abortion care
- Spanish language fluency
