Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepares patients for PICC placement or similar; assisting the PICC RN.
Set up and monitors medical equipment and devices or other related equipment as directed.
Assists nurses/technologists or other medical professionals with examinations, treatments and procedures.
Coordinates with floor/ED for patient transport to and from via teletracking.
Assists with movement or transport of patients.
Reviews the order and patient history information as needed.
Answers phones and coordinate with front desk for outpatients exams.
Routinely checks with outpatients waiting for exams and provide status update.
Cleans and disinfects equipment as needed.
Stocks procedure/examination rooms with supplies.
Help maintains or repairs appropriate medical equipment.
Completes transport communication tool and assists in diagnostic tests as directed.
Completes PACS and EPIC workflow of charges for PICC patients.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications required:
1. High school graduation or equivalent.
2. Any one or any combination totaling six (6 months) from the following categories:
1. Six (6 months) of work experience in direct patient care in a healthcare setting or equivalent.
2. College course work in a related field as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent.
- 30 semester hours equals six (6 months)
3. (American Heart Association) Basic Life Support/CPR
Preferred Qualifications:
- 40 hours per week/Flexible shift/Rotate on weekends
- PICC experience
