Description:
The Tai laboratory is seeking a very hard working and highly motivated postdoc to work on project(s) focused on aging and Alzheimer’s disease. Research in the laboratory is focused on understanding on how risk factors for Alzheimer’s disease (e.g., APOE4, aging, sex) modulate pathogenic process (cerebrovascular function, neuroinflammation peripheral inflammation) to disrupt neuronal function and behavior. Excellent opportunity for a motivated candidate to work in a dynamic laboratory focused on translational research using in vivo (mice) and in vitro models.
Desired experience/skills include:
An in-depth knowledge of neurodegenerative diseases.
In vivo (mice) and in vitro experimental models of neurodegeneration.
Preclinical compound assessment.
Taking an active lead on research projects.
Manuscript preparation.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D.
Working Conditions
Laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. Must be able to wear protective equipment. Must be able to handle and provide standard care to research animals. May require standing or sitting for long periods of time.
