Chicago Kidney Urology Hematology network for city-wide research training and career development
Research training awards for predoctoral and postdoctoral scientists studying the kidney, urinary tract, or disorders of the blood and blood-forming organs
The NIDDK TL1 training grant supports predoctoral and postdoctoral trainees whose research is basic, translational or clinical and relevant to nephrology, benign urology, or benign hematology. Trainees must be engaged in research at one of the six Chicago KUH partner institutions: Northwestern University, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital at Chicago, University of Illinois, Rush University, and Loyola University Chicago.
Trainees receive a NRSA stipend and allowances for travel and training related expenses. The program offers networking opportunities and activities to enhance the career development of each trainee.
Eligibility:
- US citizen or permanent resident
- Interest in pursuing basic, translational, or clinical research training in a NIDDK KUH priority area
- Conduct research with a primary mentor at a Chicago KUH partner institution
- Deadline: Apply by June 1, 2023 to begin by September 1, 2023
