Position Summary
The Graduate Hourly Research Interviewer will work at UIC Community Outreach Intervention Projects (COIP) under the guidance of the NHBS Project Director to recruit and interview research participants from Chicago who are MSM (men who have sex with men) concerning health-related behaviors and HIV status. Interviews will be conducted in the field at bars, social organizations, and events where MSM socialize. This is a part-time position that will require weekend and late-night hours of work for approximately six months. The National HIV Behavioral Surveillance (NHBS) is a project of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
Duties & Responsibilities
Recruitment in the field (i.e. bars, events) of research participants from the Chicago population of men who have sex with men (MSM).
Interview individual MSM research participants in the field using laptops with data collection software.
Maintenance of records concerning field venue characteristics, MSM participants, and incentives for participation.
Other duties as assigned depending on interest and experience, related to the job.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
