Position Summary
The Field Supervisor will work under the guidance of the NHBS Project Director to oversee surveying and testing of MSM (men who have sex with men) research participants concerning HIV-related behaviors and HIV status. This is a full-time position that will include weekend and late-night hours of supervision of a team of interviewers in the field at sites including bars, dance halls, and events. The National HIV Behavioral Surveillance (NHBS) is a project of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee a team of interviewers in the field surveying research participants from the Chicago population of men who have sex with men (MSM).
Oversee the work of an HIV Tester performing finger prick blood testing of participants.
Handle and record financial payments to research participants for being surveyed and tested.
Setting up and shutting down of laptops and software designated for use by interviewers.
Record keeping of nightly research activities in the field.
Other duties as assigned depending on interest and experience and related to the job.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of and experience with Excel for database management.
