Position Summary
The Office of Accreditation is seeking a 50% FTE Graduate Assistant (GA) to provide support to the Director of Accreditation. The university is preparing for its comprehensive 10-year institutional accreditation review and site visit by the Higher Learning Commission. The GA position will support all activities related to accreditation and related compliance processes and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties will include assisting the director and HLC core team in the following tasks:
Preparing evidence for the HLC assurance system (e.g., preparing coversheets, website captures, organizing folders)
Reviewing and tabulating existing university policies, procedures, and processes related to federal compliance and HLC assumed practices.
Assisting in preparation of surveys, executive summaries, and presentation material, as needed.
Assisting in managing the university’s webpage for HLC accreditation.
Assisting in preparation for onsite mock review process.
Project management and organization of materials and processes related to the comprehensive review.
Researching institutional policies, procedures, and processes at peer institutions and benchmarking related information for consideration in recommendations for institutional practices.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a current graduate student with the following qualifications:
- Experience in project management, literature review, and report writing.
- Excellent attention to detail, effective interpersonal communication, and excellent writing skills.
- Knowledge and experience in effectively using applications in the Microsoft Suite.
- Experience in managing complex project tasks using any project management tool e.g., Asana, MS Project, and Excel.
- Interest in higher education topics including student success.
