Position Summary
This position is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Community Nutrition Program by
developing internal and external partnerships, supervision of programming staff and managing grant writing
and reporting.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with oversight for the partnerships including providing directing and support to programming_x000d_ staff._x000d_ • Assist with establishing community partnership opportunities between agencies, program and CPHP._x000d_ Ensures all partnerships activities meet USDA compliance._x000d_ • Assist with oversight of development; corporate and foundation support for UIC Great Cities_x000d_ Neighborhoods Initiatives CPHP._x000d_ • Coordinate and implement program goals and strategies in collaboration with the Program Director_x000d_ and core management team members._x000d_ • Identify partnering opportunities to leverage existing grants and develop complementary grant_x000d_ proposals_x000d_ • Assist program director with coordination of grant proposal development and submission process;_x000d_ ensuring that proposals, reports and other documents are well written, strategic, and submitted on_x000d_ schedule._x000d_ • Assist with strategic program planning; enrichment programs and communications and public_x000d_ relations planning._x000d_ • Assist with formulation of standard operating procedures( i.e. vacation requests, call in procedures,_x000d_ scheduling) including guidelines to ensure safety and welfare of community members._x000d_ _x000d_ • Assist with development and implementation of assessment tools to analyze effectiveness of CPHP_x000d_ programs. Ensures program goals are met including those proposed by internal and external partners._x000d_ • Assist with annual program plan and strategic objectives._x000d_ • Participates and represents the NI and CPHP at state wide, regional and national nutrition education_x000d_ conferences.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Masters’ degree in Public Health or related field with five years’ experience in community health or case
management.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in SNAP-Ed, training in Community Health Science, Nutrition Science, or Policy.
