Pay $73,792 - $81,356 Under general supervision of the Personal Health Supervisor. performs work of moderate difficulty as a skilled nurse in a variety of community and family health clinics, as well as in nursing and infectious disease programs; Provides disaster preparedness training. prepares emergency plans and procedures, coordinates emergency response and medical countermeasure mass dispensing/distribution activities; completes emergency preparedness-related deliverables required from several State grants; Assists with local school health programs, auditing a variety of health records and providing consultation to teachers and parents; Participates in a variety of youth and adult health programs and clinics; Participates in the planning and operation of public health clinics; interviews patients. performs tests; records data; makes necessary referrals and participates in coordinating the total clinic services in the interest of the patient; Collaborates with Village Departments to prepare, analyze and coordinate emergency responses to disasters or emergencies; Coordinates and evaluates the activities of the Emergency Preparedness program and make policy recommendations for future sustainability; Coordinates preparedness activities for the Village of Skokie in accordance with Local Emergency Operation Plan (EOP). including training for staff, ensuring appropriate Health and Human Services staff have the requisite National Incident Management certifications and any required training. and updating and publishing planning documents for review and approval of the Village Manager; Performs other duties. as assigned. Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a nationally accredited college or university; Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse License - must be maintained during employment; Minimum two years of general nursing experience; Demonstrated knowledge of practices and principles of nursing and public health nursing including, but not limited to, knowledge of relevant social and economic forces and family and group relationships; Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with residents, colleagues, and co-workers; Must be able to read and write English; Bi-lingual skills helpful, but not required; Working knowledge of basic Microsoft Office Suite applications required; Valid Driver's License required.
