Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Program
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship program is designed for individuals who have successfully completed a Master’s or Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant program and are employed by Linden Oaks Behavioral Health. The fellowship program is specifically tailored to provide enhanced education and training for APP’s prior to working independently in psychiatry as well as understanding the innerworkings of Linden Oaks Behavioral Health.

REQUIREMENTS
The APP Fellowship program requires successful completion of a master’s or Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program. Applicants must meet all Linden Oaks Behavioral Health Hospital requirements, including passing of board exam prior to hire. Family Nurse Practitioners ae required to obtain the post master’s certificate in mental health within 3 years of hiring into Linden Oaks Medical Group.
PROGRAM FORMAT
The in-person program can be completed in approximately 8 weeks, depending on your individual need. There are three program sections:
- Weeks 1-3: Inpatient training at Linden Oaks Behavioral Hospital.
- Weeks 4-6: Partial hospitalization training.
- Weeks 7-8: Office clinic training.

The mission of the APP Fellowship program is to provide enhanced training before transitioning into a full-time advanced practice provider role.
The vision of the APP Fellowship is to increase access, to expand the workforce, and develop individuals who treat patients with mental health and substance use disorders.
The APP Fellowship program focuses on collaboration with highly skilled experts in behavioral health. The program strives to be convenient and educational for students while preparing to practice independently.
