    Campus Programs--in service of their committment to the development of effective student organizations that positively contribute to student engagement at UIC--will be hosting the Student Organization Conference with the theme “Get Charged! Connect and Energize Your Organization”.

    The Student Organization Conference will help your organization network with other officers and, most importantly, go more in-depth with building skills for leadership, team development, event planning, and organization management. Conference attendees will receive a free Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI) Assessment. Get connected and get your organization headed in the right direction this year!

    Be sure to share this message with your organization officers and members. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. RSVP is required for attendance.

    The Annual Honors College Ball is a fun tradition for all students, staff, and faculty to attend! The theme of ball this year is Magnificent Mile of Memories. Come build memories with your fellow students and faculty/staff members! 

    The 2016 ball will take place on March 5th from 6 PM to 12 AM at the Holiday Inn Merchandise Mart.

    Tickets will be sold in Burnham Hall and online (link will be available shortly) starting February 1st. Tickets will be sold from 11am-1pm Monday through Friday in the lounge. Tickets for students are $50 and for faculty/staff are $90! We hope to see you there!

    Help your fellow honors college students host UIC's biggest fundraising event ever and support Children's Miracle Network.If you're looking for a way to give back, have fun, see performances, dance, play games, sing, and save lives, Dance Marathon at UIC (DMUIC) is for you.

    Open to everyone!

    Every cent raised will be FOR THE KIDS, and all proceeds will be going to the Children's Miracle Network hospital, the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.

    You will be on your feet on April 11th to stand for those who can't. The families who are being helped will be present to tell their stories and give you their personal thanks. Be a hero for the kids; stand up for their families and grant a child the opportunity to grow old. Dance for those who can't in the hope that one day they may be able to.

    Do final exams stress you out? Join your Honors College Advisory Board for a relaxing evening. The wellness center will be providing a “stretching out your stress” workshop where attendees can learn about stress and how to manage it with breathing and stretching exercises. DIY aromatherapy oil roll-ons and DIY study snacks will follow the presentation. The event will be held in the Honors College Lounge Burnham Hall on November 30 from 5-7pm. Space and supplies are limited so please RSVP on the Facebook Event Page or by e-mailing smurad6@uic.edu.

    CCSW Minority Women Concerns subcommittee and Donate by Design student organization are teaming up to get crafty and give back to the community. Please join us as we make scarves from upcycled t-shirt. You'll be amazed at how easy, fun, and fashionable it is to upcycle t-shirts. Make one to donate to a local organization that serves women and make a second for yourself. Please bring a t-shirts to upcycle and we'll provide the rest of the supplies.

    EcoCampus, UIC's Student Environmental Organization will be having its second General Body Meeting (GBM) of the semester on Tuesday February 4 from 2-3 pm in 121 Burnham Hall. We focus on environmental and sustainability issues related to UIC and the Chicago community.

    This meeting we will be discussing our current projects, specifically our Earth Day events, the energy saving competition, and the contaminated ComEd site on campus. Stop by if you'd like to hear about our projects, offer some ideas of your own, or get invovled in what we're doing.

We visit kids in foster care shelters bi-weekly and teach them science via hands-on experiments. For more information, come to our first meeting on Wednesday, 9/7 at 5:00 pm.     Kaplan Test Prep is providing Free practice MCAT (Old and New), LSAT, GRE, PCAT, DAT and OAT on UIC East Campus.

    The MCAT and new 2015 MCAT will be on Saturday, September 20th at 10:00am.
    All other exams will be on Saturday, October 11th at 10:00am.
