Congratulations, soon-to-be graduates! We’re so proud of all you’ve accomplished, and can’t wait to celebrate!
This year, the Honors Convocation will take place virtually through UIC’s partnership with MarchingOrder. The virtual ceremony will launch on Saturday, May 8th at 2:00 p.m. and will be available to view at your convenience. The event will include messages from campus leaders, a student speaker, and most importantly, recognition of each member of the Honors College Class of 2021.
You will receive an invitation from MarchingOrder.com to create a personalized slide to mark this occasion – the same slide will be used for both the Honors College and your degree-granting college.
In preparation our recognition of the awards and honors you’ve received at UIC, we will collect information from you through our online Graduation Declaration. The deadline for submission is April 16, 2021. We will compile this information into an Honors College program, which will be featured on the Honors College website, and may be printed for any future graduation events. Each graduate will be featured individually, and you can submit a digital photo and a brief personal message.
On the Graduation Declaration, you are asked for information about your accomplishments and future plans – don’t be shy! Give us as much detailed information as possible. This gives us the opportunity to recognize your achievements and to brag to the rest of the world about our outstanding Honors College students.
If you need further information about the Convocation, visit the Honors College website. Please contact Associate Dean Stacie McCloud at smccloud@uic.edu with any questions.
Congratulations to all of you—you deserve the best!
