Interested in environmental science? Working with kids? Looking for a way to get involved in communities surrounding UIC during a pandemic? Come pack school kits with Gateway to the Great Outdoors (GGO), Honors College Advisory Board (HCAB), Society of Future Physicians (SFP), and oSTEM on 11/1 from 1pm-3pm! (Sheridan Park: 910 S Aberdeen St, Chicago, IL 60607)
GGO is an organization that provides STEM education and outdoor adventures in low-income schools. Due to COVID-19, we aren’t able to go into the classroom, so we are packing kits with interactive experiments and distributing them at Chicago Public Schools. This is a great opportunity to get introduced to GGO and possibly network with their educators and CPS schools for students especially in STEM and Education-related majors!
