PLAW is open to all current college students (particularly rising sophomores and juniors) from ANY academic area who are interested in learning more about what law school entails. We encourage students from ALL disciplines to inquire, since law schools and the legal profession could benefit from students’ wide range of skills and knowledge.
In the program, students will take two courses during UIC summer session I (May 18- June 12). One course is more of a substantive overview of the US legal system; the other is focused on legal communication and academic success.
The program will also include extra sessions for free: meetings with students and faculty at UIC John Marshall, visits to meet with judges and lawyers, sessions on taking the LSAT and applying to law school, and more!
