The Office of Career Services is offering a new workshop called “Post It and Regret It.” It will take place on Wednesday, March 11, from 3-4 pm, in the Daley Library, Room 1-470. This workshop will help students understand how employers use social media during their hiring (and sometimes firing) processes. "Post It and Regret It" will also:
• Discuss the do’s and don’t’s when posting.
• Provide data on how employers use social media during the hiring process.
• Offer advice on what you should, and should not, post as it relates to your career goals and professional image.
• Guide you through what you should be aware of when posting to social media at key stages of your career: before the job search, during your career, and after you leave a job. As well as if/when you take a break from employment (e.g., gap year, leave of absence, etc).
This workshop is open open to students and alumni. Space is limited and RSVP is encouraged.
