CASE PRESENTATION: Communicating Difficult News
On February 26, 2020, the UIC Society of Future Physicians is organizing a lecture event with Dr. Mary Lou Schmidt, a pediatric hematology and oncology expert at UI Health. Dr. Schmidt, who is also a professor of pediatrics and division chief of pediatric hematology/oncology in UIC’s College of Medicine, has been practicing for more than 30 years. She will be using real patient stories to discuss how to communicate a difficult prognosis to patients and their families.
