The Leadership & Service Expo is an opportunity for the UIC community to explore avenues that serve Chicago. Community agencies and organizations come to campus to recruit volunteers and interns that share their missions. The Expo will be located in Student Center East (East Terrace) from 11AM-1:30PM.

Attending the conference provides an opportunity for you to participate in one of two tracks: one exploring leadership dynamics (Flashpoint) and the other providing skills to be resilient while holding a leadership position (Forge).

LeaderShape Institute

CSSLA Award Nominations are Now Open!

The Chancellor's Student Service Award recognizes students who have made a significant contribution to the university, region, nation, or world through community service. Nominations can be submitted by UIC students, faculty, and staff. The CSSLA Ceremony will be in the Illinois room, SCE on Thursday, April 23, 2020.

Make Mondays Matter
February 3, 2020
Taking place the first Monday of each month, this regular service opportunity allows students to give back while they are on campus. They vary from month to month and have included making fleece-tie blankets for infants of teen parents, assembling welcome kits for hospice patients, creating cards for veterans, making dog toys for shelter animals, and more. 10th Urban Innovation Symposium
January 24, 2020
The Urban Planning and Policy Student Association is hosting the Urban Innovation Symposium this Friday. The day session brings professionals from around the region to provide insight into cutting-edge ideas surrounding water access, the decreasing black population in Chicago, and the 2020 Census. The evening session is a more relaxed atmosphere for urban professionals to deliver presentations and network.
