Dr. Usha Raj is a pediatrician and physician-scientist who conducts research in developmental pulmonary vascular biology. She was the Chief of Neonatology and CoDirector of the Perinatal Research Center, and after that, the Head of the Department of Pediatrics at our very own Children's Hospital here at UIC. Her lab has been funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute for more than 31 years.
With all of her accomplishments, Dr. Raj is still passionate about reducing health disparity, specifically among women and underrepresented minorities in the U.S. We hope you can be there for this important lecture.
