"The Indo-American Democratic Organization (IADO) is one of the oldest South Asian American political action committees in the country. IADO engages South Asian Americans, immigrant, and New American communities in the political process. The organization recruits and endorses candidates who share our community values and champion progressive policies for immigrant and working families.
IADO is excited to share this exclusive invitation to our 40th Annual IADO Banquet: 'We are Home.' We're even more excited for our keynote speaker, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot--the first sitting Mayor of Chicago to be joining the IADO banquet in 20+ years!
In this time of Trump's hate-filled, anti-American, anti-immigrant rhetoric, this year's banquet theme 'We are Home' is dedicated to the eternal American promise: that we're a powerful, stronger nation when those who come to America call it their home.
The event will be held at the Skokie Holiday Inn (5300 W. Touhy Ave., Skokie, IL) this Sunday, October 13th. A "meet and mingle" event will be from 5:30pm-6:30pm and the banquet will follow, from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Students can attend this event for FREE.
