Did you know that there are committees at UIC that connect different communities to the Chancellor and administration? The Chancellor’s Committee on the Status of Persons with Disabilities (CCSPD) also has a subcommittee made up just of students with disabilities and our fellow students interested in supporting us. This group— The Subcommittee on Disabled Student Experiences (SDSE) — has played a critical role in educating professors on disability experiences, advocating for the creation of the Disability Cultural Center, and more! The group meets 1 time per month, with a small time commitment each week to continue moving projects for ward. If you’re interested in joining, please fill out the form below.
