Join us on April 18, 2019 for “A State of Crisis: A Call to Action for Young Adult Mental Health,” a forum for both the communities on- and off-campus. In this conversation, we will learn about the mental health challenges young adults face and identify actions schools, colleges, faith institutions, employers, service providers, and more can take to better support their communities' needs. We will learn from one another while inspiring action from leaders across Cook and DuPage Counties.
Two diverse panels will discuss the urgent need to support young adults' mental health on and off college campuses as well as actions campuses and community providers can take to ensure young adults' needs are met. We will also share the potential impact of current legislative efforts in the state to address mental health for young adults. We're honored to hear from several thought leaders, including state legislators, NAMI Chicago, Thresholds, and UIC.
This event will be moderated by Amber Kirchhoff, Public Policy Manager at Thresholds and facilitator to the Healthy Minds Healthy Lives coalition.
Free and open to the public.
