For those of you who don't know, The Food Recovery Network (FRN) is a nonprofit student organization that works to eliminate food waste. One event that we were asked to volunteer at is at the Good Food Expo, which is being held at the Dorin Forum right on the UIC campus! We are especially in need of drivers at this event to help us carry all the excess food to shelters.
There are two shifts: Friday, March 22 from 3:30pm-7:30pm and Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 1:30pm-6pm. (Note: You do NOT have to stay for the full time!)
At this event you can be expected to make rounds around the event helping set up and clean up. Those of you who stay near to the end of the event will be given any extra food or event apparel which, as FRN volunteers, you will help donate to a shelter in the city of Chicago.
