The Internship Immersion Program is a 3-day program over Spring Break that helps support our freshman and sophomore students as a way to provide early exposure to workplace settings, the internship search, and a deeper dive into their professional identity. Through this program, students will strengthen their ability to articulate their strengths and identify marketability based on their major and career interests.
Program Overview:
- Career Development Workshops (Resume Development, Informational Interviewing, Value of Internships, Understanding Brand, Interactive Exercises)
- Organization Site Visit Excursions (We will visit one workplace setting as a group and you will visit two other workplace settings in a smaller cohort on day 2)
- Self-Assessment and Reflection Exercises; group public speaking exercises and certification of completion at the end of program

Student Eligibility
- Open to Freshman and Sophomore College of Liberal Arts and Science Students
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 required (Grades will be checked after they are posted to ensure they meet the minimum requirement)
- Must fully complete online program application
- Must be able to commit to full three days of program (March 25-27, 9am to 3pm)
- Preference given (not required) to students who participated in LAS 110, LAS 103 or other first year seminar courses
- Students interested in participating in program must complete online application by Friday, December 14, 2018 to be considered
