UIC researchers (Dr. Waddah Alrefai and Dr. Pradeep Dudeja) in basic science laboratories (wet-labs) of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology are looking for undergraduate or soon-to-be/recently graduated research assistants.
The ideal undergraduate candidate is:
- committed and motivated to learn,
- of freshman or sophomore standing (juniors may apply as well as long as they are not graduating in Spring 2019 or Fall 2019),
- able to commit at least 15-20 hrs/wk 2-3 days/wk (somewhat flexible), and
- preferably has experience in a wet-lab (NOT required, though)
For students who are graduating and have previous wet-lab experience, there are full time positions available, which are great gap-year experiences.
