The UIC Pre-Pharmacy Club is partnering up with the UIC College of Pharmacy's Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) to kick off our annual Pre-Pharmacy Mentoring Program. We are looking for any interested pre-pharmacy students to sign up as mentees! You don't have to be a Pre-Pharmacy Club member to sign up, all are welcome!
Each mentee will be paired with a current student at the UIC College of Pharmacy (P1, P2, or P3). The mentor will be able to help the mentee with pharmacy school applications, including PCAT prep, interview prep, and CV/personal statement review. Mentees may also shadow pharmacy students through a day in pharmacy school or shadow at a health fair. The goal of this program is to provide pre-pharmacy students with any additional assistance and guidance needed to ease their transition into pharmacy school in the future. Attached is a flyer with details about the program and what mentees can hope to get out of it.
The deadline to sign up will be next Saturday, November 10, 2018. We will also be holding a Kickoff Meeting on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 4pm to allow mentors and mentees to meet one another. We would like for all of the mentees to be there, but if any one is not able to make it, the mentors can set up a separate time to meet them!
