In this session, Ramona Meza, graduate assistant in the UIC Office of Undergraduate Research, will connect the prospect and reality of doing undergraduate research at UIC with your long-term goals. Ramona will give a quick overview of how to find out and apply for paid and for-credit opportunities to engage in original inquiry of all varieties (including humanistic scholarship, creative endeavors in the arts, and applied inquiry in business or engineering and more!), followed by discussion and self-reflection exercises to help you link what you have done or will do in the lab, library, archive, studio or out in the field with the skills you need to succeed in a graduate or professional program or job.
