LifeSource and the UIC Athletic Department are hoping to save hundreds at the ‘Get Fired Up to Save Lives’ Blood Drive. The marathon 12-hour drive will take place Wednesday, September 19, at the UIC Pavilion, 525 S. Racine Ave., 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
University students, faculty and the public are encouraged to take part in what LifeSource hopes will be one of largest blood drives in Chicago. Donors will receive a voucher for a free Lou Malnati’s individual pizza, frozen custard courtesy of Culver’s restaurants, a limited edition ‘Get Fired Up’ LifeSource t-shirt, and more. Raffles will also be held throughout the day.
Drive attendees are encouraged to book an appointment by calling 877.543.3768 or by visiting lifesource.org/UIC. Use Group Code 375G when booking. Appointments are recommended.
