The job will entail working sporadic hours as needed to assist UICUF (UIC United Faculty) staff and leaders on specific projects. The tasks are most likely to be mundane: stuffing folders with materials and delivering them to faculty mailboxes across campus; stuffing and labelling envelopes for delivery to the Post Office; posting fliers. Individuals with photography and/or video skills could be called upon to help document events. Though most tasks will be mundane, student staff assistants will be exposed to organizing work that may be applicable to future work in labor unions, community organizations, and other advocacy organizations. The pay will be $15 an hour.
