For the past few months, students at UIC's School of Public Health have been working closely with the organization We Are Human. Their mission is to humanize and bring awareness to the struggles of homelessness.
Suzanne and Sanni Bush-Haruna spend every other Saturday passing out meals and warm essentials to individuals experiencing homelessness.
They are currently in the process of applying for 501(c)(3) status and building their community capacity. In the mean time, UIC students are organizing a fundraiser for We Are Human.
