Dr. Eric Swirsky is an expert in clinical medical ethics who also teaches ethics at the undergraduate level as well as in medical school. During this workshop, we will discuss challenging ethical scenarios that you may encounter in your professional life as a healthcare provider. Bring your opinions on human rights, abortion, patient confidentiality, life-sustaining therapy, drug addition and pain management, terminal and pre-terminal diagnosis and other even more controversial topics. Active participation in the discussion is expected from the attendees.
