We are looking forward to celebrating with you at the 25th Annual Honors College Ball this Friday, March 9, 2018!
The Ball is one of our longest-standing traditions and marks the social high point of the year for our students. The theme this year is Masquerade—so feel free to use your imagination in finding a suitable disguise! (It is not required, though).

Timeline
Check-In & Cocktails: 7:00 p.m – 7:45 p.m.
Program & Dinner: 7:45 p.m – 9:00 p.m.
Dancing: 9:00 p.m – 12:00 a.m.
Dinner
Dinner will be a plated meal, without assigned seating (except for department-sponsored tables). Guests will be able to select from a limited menu and order at the event. Unlimited soda and juice will also be included, and there will be a cash bar available for attendees who are 21 or older. Below is the dinner menu:
- First Course: Mixed Greens Salad: candied pecans, dried cranberries, raspberry vinaigrette with goat cheese on the side
- Second Course: River Roast Signature Chicken: lightly-smoked, oven roasted chicken breast with natural au jus OR Ricotta Pappardelle: roasted mushroom, oven-dried tomatoes, tomato sauce with cheese on the side
- Third Course/Dessert: English Custard Parfait: sponge cake, vanilla custard and fresh berries

Attire (and optional storage for students)
Cocktail or business casual attire requested.
As a reminder, the Honors College is proud to announce that it will offer ball-wear storage from 8:30am to 5pm on Friday, March 9 to any student attending the ball. At no additional cost!
Should you wish to take advantage of this opportunity, please stop in at the Honors College Front Desk with your student ID and your materials for storage on Friday, March 9, where you and your items will be assigned a ticket number. Bring your ticket back before 5pm on Friday to pick up your items.
At 5pm the college will be closed and items left with the college will be unavailable until the following Monday, March 12, 2018. Please be sure to retain your ticket as it is the only way we will be able to identify and return your items to you. Be aware that should you fail to present your ticket at the time of item retrieval, we will be unable to guarantee return of your items.
That said, by participating in/taking advantage of this offer the student assumes all risk of loss of and damage to the property from any cause whatsoever and understands and agrees that neither the Honors College, UIC, nor any of its employees assume any liability for any loss or damage to property stored through this offer. Transportation
Valet or self-parking options are available at and nearby River Roast Chicago. Self-parking is available at hourly rates at various self-parking lots and ramps within a few blocks of the restaurant. Valet parking is also available from River Roast at a rate of $18.00. For public transportation, it is a 5-minute walk from either the Clark & Lake CTA Blue Line station or from the Merchandise Mart Brown Line Station, or attendees can use a variety of CTA bus options (we recommend using the Google Maps public transportation option to determine the best route from your location).
