The Cook County Clerk’s office is recruiting college students to serve in suburban polling places for the March 20, 2018 Gubernatorial Primary Election. It is a unique opportunity to provide a vital service for the community, get a behind-the-scenes look at the election process, and get paid all at the same time.
There are two positions available to students who are interested in participating: Election Judge or Equipment Manager. Election Judges and Equipment Managers both assist voters and ensure the polling place is running smoothly. Equipment Managers are also responsible for setting up and maintaining the voting equipment. Due to the additional responsibility, Equipment Managers receive more training and higher pay.
- Election Judges earn $190
- Equipment Managers earn $340
