The University of Pennsylvania's Master of Chemical Sciences is the first program of its kind in the Ivy League. We created the degree in response to an increasing demand from current and aspiring chemistry professionals for a new kind of chemistry education—a rigorous course of study that provides students the experience and knowledge needed to lead in their chosen careers, in a compact time frame.
We offer world-class resources, industry connections and the individualized support students need to achieve their professional goals.
Our program includes concentrations in:
- Biological Chemistry
- Inorganic Chemistry
- Organic Chemistry
- Physical Chemistry
- Environmental Chemistry
- Materials
With a robust curriculum and local partners offering research opportunities, our students are prepared for their futures in chemistry. Many of our students find fulfilling careers in a variety of cutting-edge jobs across government, education and corporate sectors.
We're proud to offer this program to outstanding students and practitioners of chemistry. I invite you to learn more about our opportunities during a virtual information session on January 17. During the event, I will be available to answer specific questions regarding the program and the application process.
