Congressman Mike Quigley will be coming to campus next week, Monday 11/27, and Honors College students are being offered a unique opportunity to speak with the Illinois 5th district representative during a small luncheon.
Want to discuss current events, including the much-reported recent Tax Bill, with Mike Quigley? Come to his lecture and/or lunch to engage in discussion!
Lecture: "The Role of the Federal Government in Chicago’s Future", 12:00 - 12:50 pm in BSB 140 on Mon 11/27
Lunch with Mike Quigley: 1:00 - 1:50 pm in BH 121 on Mon 11/27. RSVP for the lunch by noon on Wednesday 11/22 at http://go.uic.edu/FoCLunchNov27.
Each lunch is limited to 20 students and RSVP is required for lunch. (All students are welcome to attend the lectures without RSVP’ing.) If max capacity is reached for lunch, students will be notified. Students who plan on attending the lunch are strongly encouraged to attend the lecture beforehand to be prepared to engage in discussion with our guest.
Please be aware, your RSVP means that you will attend this lunch. Seating and food arrangements are made based upon how many are going to attend, and in cases where we cannot accommodate all who want to come, your place may mean that someone else was denied the opportunity to participate. All of us in the Honors College enjoy hosting these events, and we want as many students as possible to benefit from them. Please do not RSVP unless you can commit to that date and time.
