We would like to remind you that the poster submission deadline is fast approaching for our 2018 International Conference on Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence and Gender Bias, April 3rd - 5th in Chicago, Illinois.
Poster Submission Deadline: December 1, 2017
Conference Objectives
We are seeking proposals for posters that meet the conference objectives, which are to:
- Improve responses to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, human trafficking, elder abuse, and other forms of gender-based violence
- Enhance collaboration among criminal justice and community professionals through a multi-disciplinary approach
- Improve the investigation and prosecution of those who perpetrate gender-based violence
- Promote effective prevention and risk reduction programs
- Posters displayed at the conference will be evaluated by a multidisciplinary panel of experts, and those ranked first second and third will receive prizes. Presenters will also have an opportunity to schedule times to be available at their posters and engage in dialogue with the judges and conference participants regarding their poster content.
We specifically encourage poster submissions from students, first-time presenters, and researchers whose work is not yet complete. Poster presenters must register to attend the conference. No financial compensation or reimbursement will be offered to those presenting a poster.
Submission Format
Please complete this Proposal Cover Sheet and submit it along with:
- Abstract describing the poster (up to 500 words)
- Three learning objectives
- Curriculum Vitae and/or Resume for presenter(s)
- Biographical sketch for each presenter
All materials must be submitted as a complete package to Cheri@evawintl.org by Friday, December 1, 2017 in order for your poster to be considered. Applicants will be notified of the committee's decision by December 22, 2017.
