Current Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle will be coming to campus on Wednesday 11/8, and Honors College students are being offered a unique opportunity to speak with the board president during a small luncheon. Want to discuss current events, including the recently-repealed beverage tax, and the future of Cook County with Toni Preckwinkle? Come to her lecture and/or lunch to engage in discussion!
Lecture: "Reform of Cook County Government", 12:00 - 12:50 pm in BSB 140 on Wed 11/8
Lunch with Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle: 1:00 - 1:50 pm in BH 121 on Wed 11/8. RSVP for the lunch by noon on Monday 11/6 at http://go.uic.edu/FoCLunchNov8.
Each lunch is limited to 20 students and RSVP is required for lunch. (All students are welcome to attend the lectures without RSVP’ing.) If max capacity is reached for lunch, students will be notified. Students who plan on attending the lunch are strongly encouraged to attend the lecture beforehand to be prepared to engage in discussion with our guest.
Please be aware, your RSVP means that you will attend this lunch. Seating and food arrangements are made based upon how many are going to attend, and in cases where we cannot accommodate all who want to come, your place may mean that someone else was denied the opportunity to participate. All of us in the Honors College enjoy hosting these events, and we want as many students as possible to benefit from them. Please do not RSVP unless you can commit to that date and time.
