UIC Engage is part of UIC’s long-term commitment to expand college access to Chicago’s youth and promote the economic, educational, health, and social wellness of the university’s surrounding neighborhoods.
This year, UIC Engage is seeking 30 volunteers to tutor the youth, focusing on grades 3-5 in the following communities and specific sites:
- North Lawndale – Faith Community Church & Greater Open Door
- Little Village – Little Village Academy
- Near West Side – Smyth Elementary
- Woodlawn – Woodlawn Elementary
