The UIC Health and Wellness Academy is a 3 credit community outreach experiential learning course. UIC students participating in the course created and facilitated lessons that focused on nutrition and movement for 3rd-5thgraders at Smyth Elementary school (Chicago Public School). This year there is an additional school sight, Altus Academy.

Lab - Times vary (flexible with schedules)
WHO: UIC Undergraduate and Graduate Students
WHAT: UIC students will work in teams to create nutrition and movement lessons and activities for Chicago youth.
WHERE: AHSB on Monday, Elementary Schools on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thurday
WHY: We are looking for opportunities for children to be leaders and take ownership of the health of their city!
