You've Got Mail is an organization that partners up UIC students with Chicago public school students in a pen pal program. UIC students serve as mentors to these students and help promote literacy in these schools with low reading scores.
It's a minimum commitment of one letter per week; we meet up once a week and provide the supplies for you to write the letters (construction paper, markers, stickers), and we send them to the schools.
At the end of the year, we have a party where you'll be able to meet your pen pal.
