National Alzheimer's Buddies (NAB) is targeted to all undergraduate students. NAB's mission is to pair college students for weekly 1-to-1 visits with dementia patients from intermediate-to-late-stages of Alzheimer's Disease (AD) who are living in long term care facilities. The importance of NAB is it allows one to look past what is lost with Alzheimer's Disease, as students and individuals with Alzheimer's break through the boundaries imposed by the disease, and together build new friendships which bring out the beauty of the person still present.
