We are excited to announce that we have a GlobeMed chapter at UIC! GlobeMed is an organization for students who want to learn more about global health and combat the lapses of voluntourism projects by creating long-term sustainable partnerships. Global health disparities are a result of an imbalance of power, and we work to shift that power back to the grassroots organizations.
We will be having an information session on Tuesday, September 12 from 5-6pm, (Location TBA, follow us on Facebook for an update @globemeduic) for those interesting in becoming general members, or even obtaining a leadership role.
