Project: VISION (www.projectvisionchicago.org) is a small grassroots nonprofit organization serving youth in Chicago's Chinatown, Bridgeport, and surrounding neighborhoods.
We provide free after school programming primarily to youth from low income, first generation immigrant families.
We are seeking paid and volunteer tutors and mentors for our After School Homework Tutoring Program.This role helps middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) students build their knowledge, basic skills, and good study habits so that they can improve and succeed in their academics.
In addition, mentors will serve as positive adult role models and provide youth with guidance and support as they develop life skills and build on social-emotional learning.
We are seeking candidates with strong personal academic records, enthusiasm, and passion for teaching as well as mentoring!
