Go Mechanical Keyboard is here because programmers built its components. Our site reviews products that programmers use constantly. They are a massive portion of our traffic. We’re thankful for their existence.
With that in mind, it is our pleasure to support students entering computer science programs. University isn’t cheap, and being crippled with debt will only cause performance-degrading stress after graduation. Taking some of the load off, even if it’s a small amount, could mean the difference between exceptional progress and stagnation. GoMK wants the former. Apply for our scholarship. Award Information
The GoMK Computer Science Scholarship will start at $1,000 US and grow on a yearly basis. All undergraduate or postgraduate computer science students can apply. Preference will be given to educational paths that place an emphasis on programming.
The application period opens on May 24th, 2017 and closes on November 1st, 2017. We’ll be reviewing all applicants, and rewarding the scholarship to one individual on December 29th, 2017.
Requirements:
- Must currently be an undergraduate or postgraduate student.
- Must be studying in the fields of either programming, computer science, or IT.
Essay Topic
Write a 500 – 1000 word essay on the role of a computer science graduate in society. In particular, describe how your post-graduation work will affect others. Tell us what motivates you to succeed in the industry on a personal level. Use specific examples whenever possible.
Essay Formatting & Submission
Essays must use an 11-12 point serif font. Follow the MLA style guide.
• Convert your document to PDF before submission.
• Format the filename using the following template: lastname-firstname-essay.pdf
• Please send essays to team@gomechanicalkeyboard.com, our application inbox.
• Format the email subject using the following template: GoMK Scholarship – Lastname, Firstname
If your submission deviates from those formatting instructions, it may be discarded.
