Part-Time Positions
We have summer volunteer positions available for students who would like to commit to 300 hours of service between now and December 31st. At our suburban locations we often have a difficult time filling positions, so we might even have a few paid opportunities available for students who would like to volunteer on a more full-time basis. I have attached the flyer describing the part-time positions that we have available.
Students interested in applying should complete an application (attached) and submit it to applications@iljusticecorps.org. They should also include a brief personal statement as well as a resume, if they have one. I am currently accepting applications on a rolling basis until this Friday, May 5th. Some positions will go fast, so interested students should apply as soon as possible!
Full-Time Positions
We are also gearing up to begin looking for our next full-time fellows, expected to begin their year of service in August 2017 and to end in August 2018. I have attached a flyer explaining the requirements/benefits of the full-time positions. These positions are perfect for students who are taking a bit of time off between their undergraduate and law school studies. That said, it also provides practical skills for people looking to pursue careers in different fields, so please do not restrict applicants to only those interested in law school.
The application for the full-time positions is not yet available, but interested students should keep a lookout on the AmeriCorps website in order to apply once the application "goes live" in June. Interested students should also be encouraged to contact me directly, as I can ensure that they get linked up to the application once it becomes available.
