This Summer 2017, the Bayanihan Foundation will sponsor partial and full scholarships for travel and accommodations to visit the Philippines for 14 days. This travel scholarship is open for up to seven young adults ages 18 years old and above. The immersion trip is coordinated to promote diaspora philanthropy; know more about Filipino culture; learn about the foundation’s sustainable projects; connect and develop the participant’s potential sustainable projects; and connect with relatives and the participant’s heritage.
The Next Generation (NEXTGEN) ‘Pagbabalik’ (Coming Home) Program is designed to fill the important gap [of living away from one’s homeland] by recruiting the next generation youth from the U.S. to visit the Philippines, connect them to their homeland and cultural heritage, volunteer in long-term sustainable projects, and encourage them to be long-term partners for change in the Philippines.
NEXTGEN is an initiative by the Bayanihan Foundation Worldwide, a registered 501c3 public charity with a commitment to improve the living conditions of Filipinos in the Philippines or wherever else they may live. Let us work together to improve the lives of our kababayans (countrymen) in the areas of education, health, environment, community development, youth involvement and advocacy. Apply online at fdnbayanihan.org or at this link: NEXTGEN 2017 Application. Deadline for application is on Saturday, April 15, 2017.
