L@s GANAS, the new UIC office for Latinx students in STEM is looking for students to participate in our reseach experience program.
The L@s GANAS Research Experience is a 2-year program that engages students in research-intensive experiences in Life Sciences, Chemistry and Physics. Student participants, aka L@s GANAS scholars, will gain sustained and meaningful exposure to research environments, will learn about research as a career and be provided with a visible path towards it.
L@s GANAS scholars will obtain hands on research experience, work with experienced researchers, have the opportunity to present original research in national and local conferences as well as develop academic and personal skills by working in collaboration with others. L@s GANAS scholars are elible to receive financial assistance, up to $5,000/per academic year and funding for research presentation outside of UIC.
